# Can't override size of image oneboxes

The following image has its height set to 100 (i.e. `<img src="" height=100>`, view post source), and looks fine in the initial post drafting preview, but when it’s posted it becomes very large. I suspect this is due to the mouseover preview which allows the image to be expanded.

You can’t restrict the size of oneboxes. This is not an image per se it is a onebox of gifycat.

Would this be an issue with the gif not being downloaded, and instead being oneboxed, then? Looking back at some of my previous posts on the Discourse forum I use, it seems some, like this gif, remain gfycat links and are oneboxed, while others are saved to the forum and displayed as gifs.

There is a size limit of images that will be downloaded, yes, for security and sanity reasons. You can’t link to hundreds of 50mb gifs and crash a site with out of disk space.
