Categories as homepage?

I was wondering if there was a way that I can set the categories page as my homepage?

You can do this with the top menu site setting. Just drag into the first position the one you want the default “home page” to be for regular return visitors.

Keep in mind if you have redirect users to top page checked, new and long absent users will see the “top” page.

Hey Guys,

I don’t seem to be able to find the Top Menu to enable this setting. Help!

Oops! Got it. Just did a search from the Admin panel for Top Menu and found it.

For idiots, like me… here’s where it is:

took me forever to find it. #facepalm

No need to do that, it might be simpler to just run /wizard again as needed.

Is this a system wide setting? Is there anyway a user can define their own home page? The main Discourse system I’m using has carried out a poll and 2/3rds have suggested they want the category page as the home page. They are carrying out a trial. I hate it  The category screen is way too busy and getting worse as they let category creep go unchecked. So personally I’d like to set it to “Latest” no matter what the default is.
