This does not look good.

The discussion revolves around the misalignment of categories in the hamburger menu. hunterboerner initiates the conversation, sharing an image to illustrate the issue. rumpelsepp links to a related discussion on simplified category styles, but FezodgeIII points out that the issue is with the spacing between categories. hunterboerner confirms this, and sam identifies the margin on .d-dropdown .category as the cause, suggesting a fix. codinghorror proposes a two-column layout for the hamburger menu in the next version, citing previous issues with the current layout. neil recalls fixing a similar issue in the past, which seems to have resurfaced with recent changes.
i think what he means is the spaces between the categories, not the cloud vomit thing, but, i could be wrong!
The hamburger is also in the discussion:
oh right yeah sorry!
Correct. The spacing is crazy.
Agree, the misalignment here is clearly a bug
The margin on .d-dropdown .category is causing this. Also the spacing is totally off, this looks a ton better:
I will muck with this on Tuesday, unless someone beats me to it.
We should definitely do a two column layout here for v1.2, the tag cloud style layout is just awful and always has been. Let’s make it wider as well.
(Plus I remember telling @neil about the hamburger category alignment issues a year ago where mysterious white space would appear.)
Yeah I remember fixing that a while ago. It must have come back with the recent changes.
