# Category Description

New to discourse and working on building my first community on it.
Once thing that’s been driving me crazy and can’t figure out is how to get the Category description to show above the topics after you enter that category.
I would assume that’s someone in the settings but I looked everywhere and I can’t find it.

Think you’ll need a theme component.

Thanks Elli. I was aware of Category Banner component but wanted the simpler look of simply having Category description showing up at the top of the Category page.
I swear i thought this should be simple config flag that I wasn’t able to find.
I’ll try the Category Headers theme component if that’s the way to go and this is not supported with discourse out of the box.
