# Change 6 month silence time for TL3

When promoting a user to TL3, one of the requirements is that a user must not have been silenced or suspended for 6 months. Is there any way to change this to a different time period?
The time period set for the TL3 requirements is 100 days, so why is just the silence/suspend requirements set for 6 months?

The devs can correct me if I’m wrong, but I assume it’s hardcoded to 6 months as it’s designed to be a punishment to block you from TL3 if your behavior was bad enough to warrant a silence/suspension.
That said, I wish it was customizable because I have a few instances that would benefit from it being changed because of our TL3 time period adjustments.

You can reset the penalty count on a user. Not sure on the rest.
