Circling back to this, yes we’re presenting category type options differently now at the time of creation but these features were always available on the Pro (via Solved plugin) and Business (via Topic Voting plugin) and not on the Free plan.
In the older design, admins would have to create a standard category and enable solved or voting features in category settings, but only if they had access to it. Now, we’re presenting this difference earlier while creating a category.
To wrap up these changes, I’ll also note that the Starter plan has been discontinued (mentioned here) and going forward, folks can choose from Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise or self-hosted options.
