# Changing "Type title, or paste a link here" text

I’d like to change the “type title, or paste a link here” text that appears in the “Create a new topic” subject box, to remove the reference to links, which tends to be abused by users.

I edited:

js.composer.title\_or\_link\_placeholder

for my preferred text and saved it. However, the composer box is still showing the original text, unchanged. What did I miss? Thanks!

This should work. Make sure you saved the changes. You will probably need to reload the site in your browser to see the updated text.

OK, that did it. I had to completely exit Chrome and restart from scratch. Apparently it was pretty deeply cached. Thanks!
