Use case: job board category. Question: can a fee be charged to post a single topic in a category?

Definitely not possible by default. However there are a few plugins to consider: [图片] Discourse Category Lockdown Plugin This plugin allows you to restrict access to topic pages in a category. Topic titles will still show up in topic lists, search, user activity & digest emails. This is a great way to advertise the activity in a “members-only” category, which may charge for access. It IS NOT designed to keep the contents of the category 100% private - if someone is determined enough they will be able to piece together the content from search results. Each category has a couple of new settings in the Security tab… [图片] «Paid Membership» plugin with PayPal integration! I’m using Memberful.com for a membership manager/payment gateway for my site. Hack idea may be to: Let someone sign-up with Memberful for $X; grant them ability to PM only Admin Redirect them to a page that asks them to send an admin a PM using the link below Re-post the paid post as its own category manually as admin Once you have enough sales, pay for some custom magic to manual reposting You can use this link: https://meta.discourse.org/new-message?username=Joshua_Kogan&title=My%20Paid%20Message%20-%20PUT%20YOUR%20NAME%20HERE%20&body=Hey%20Joshua,%20here%27s%20my%20post
