# Chat Auto-responder?

There are various posts around about auto-responders for PMs, but I can’t find anything related to personal chat channels?

Can [Discourse Automation](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-automation/195773) use a personal chat message as a trigger? It’s not entirely clear from the trigger table:

> Send Chat message: Event started / Recurring \> Sends a Chat message to a Channel

I’m looking to setup a responder for part-time staff to be able to notify users what their working hours are / when they’re likely to respond to a chat message.
