# Chat landing page

I think that there should be a landing page for chat room URLs for people who are not signed up to the forum. The reason is simple: if you can get people into your chat room, they might use your forum.

It’s really easy to get a hundred people into a Telegram or a Discord or even an Element server. It’s really hard to get people to use a forum. But if the forum is always _right there_ (a page away), then people in the chat _might use it,_ which will _drastically_ boost engagement on the site and make it stickier / more attractive for other users.

Currently, when you link a chat room, it just takes you to the front page of the forum.
