yes I was going to say the same but it’s definitely in the steps of the doc 🤷‍♂️

I would recommend you to try using: [Developing Discourse using a Dev Container](https://meta.discourse.org/t/developing-discourse-using-a-dev-container/336366)

That should be a much easier way for you to get a working dev env.
