# Chat plugin? And Gallery Viewer plugin?

Are there no other chat plugins that works _within_ discourse, except Babble? (that is Not an external chatprogram)?

Also, I didnt get the Gallery Viewer-addon to work? is there no working Gallery Viewer-plugin?

Yeah and babble has been abandoned. It kind of sucks. I’m going to try adding a classic-style shoutbox into the banner. Would be nice if this was an option

There are currently no actively maintained chat plugins as far as I know, that’s correct.

Can you be more specific about what you mean by gallery viewer? Which components/plugins have you tried that haven’t worked?

But it’s important to note that we have an official one currently under active development. I suspect we’re a couple of months from having anything to share though.

Yup we’re working hard on it. @erlend_sh is the product manager and may be able to offer something more of a timeline than I can.
