Chat System while logged into Discourse

In building our community, we are bringing in many users to discourse. It seems that our community could see the help of quick-ephemeral conversions that is common in Slack or Whatsapp groups.

Is there a chat system (like slack or Rocket chat) that I can integrate into discourse and make it readily available to all the users of my discourse installation?

I don’t want users to signup for a chat services. The login should be done at “discourse instance” only and that chat should be available to the logged in users.

Is that possible? Has anyone done that?

@geoff777 - Sorry, I surely had done my research. Those didn’t answer the questions I had.

  1. I don’t want users to signup for a chat services. The login should be done at “discourse instance” only and that chat should be available to the logged in users.

  2. Does chat-integration plugin allow for that and is anyone using such a chat service (slack/zulip) integration in production.
