@Firepup650 Nice find! Any character added in front of the checkbox will make the bullet points visible.

- List
  - . Dot
    - ' Single quote (like in Excel _text without formatting_)
      - | Pipe

For a general solution: add this custom CSS to your Discourse instance.

ul li.has-checkbox .list-item-checkbox {
  position: relative;
  left: 0;
}

.cooked ul li.has-checkbox,
.d-editor-preview ul li.has-checkbox {
  position: relative;
  list-style-type: disc;
}

.cooked ul ul li.has-checkbox,
.d-editor-preview ul ul li.has-checkbox {
  list-style-type: circle;
}
