# Choose one of the verification methods

Can someone help on adding a method of verification for **BingSiteAuth.xml**??
There are 3 ways and one is only approved here:
1. XML File NOT approved cause don’t know root files location! If someone knows. Then Plz let me know.
2. HTML Meta Tag NOT approved as well because it goes into tag into your site’s home page. It should go in the section, before the first section which is HUH???
3. Add CNAME record to DNS. Done it but not going through and keeps telling me NOT verified for some reason.
Any clews?? 🚯

I recommend that you figure out what your doing wrong with the cname.
But I noticed this the other day [Serve Static File](https://meta.discourse.org/t/serve-static-file/80585) (which, it turns out, I wrote).
