# Clickable link / URL user field type

A user field type of link / URL that shows as a clickable link on user card, profile etc

As you can see, the URL’s are not clickable

We do have the [Custom Profile Link](https://meta.discourse.org/t/custom-profile-link/295470) theme component, though the idea of adding a ‘link’ field type to the custom user fields themselves was also raised in that topic the other day too:

Ha! That’s interesting as I viewed that thread but only scrolled back up a little way, in fact I stopped just before those 2 posts 😂

I used to use custom theme code to make the links clickable but then Ember updated and I had to scrap all the code

A dedicated user field type would be awesome for this if it’s at all possible
