# Clicking on post timestamp scrolls page to different post when modal opens

When I click on the post timestamp to bring up the Share modal the page scrolls down when it opens and I’m often no longer on the post I had clicked on (depending on post length). This has made me double-check whether I had indeed clicked on the right post.

Basic step-by-step:

- Go to [French, error in translation (group owners, members and moderators) - #15 by Moin](https://meta.discourse.org/t/french-error-in-translation-group-owners-members-and-moderators/396403/15) and click on the timestamp
- See that the post you land on in the background is the post below
