# Client-side vs. server-side?

[Safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true) disables a portion of the plugin, not all the plugin. So if your issue on that particular day is with the server-side elements then [safe mode](https://meta.discourse.org/t/53504?silent=true) won’t be as much help.
