CommonMark syntax to make text smaller?

(Uwe Keim) #1

Currently I’m using <small>...</small> to make a text smaller.

In the CommonMark forums I found a posting suggesting $$...$$ which doesn’t seem to work in Discourse.

My question:

Is there any “official” syntax to make text smaller?

#2

use 5 # for small word in editor

######small

######small

It is a H6 that accidentially (IMHO) looks smaller.

Technically this is a heading (<H6> here on meta currently) - I wouldn’t recommend this as a replacement for <small>

#5

its work

<small>test small</small>

test small

this is online markdown editor

Which would be this:

See the title of my question.

I was seeking for some CommonMark syntax.

Not for HTML syntax.

There is no CommonMark syntax … and … we are not running CommonMark just yet.
