# Completely deleting a post

Hello, im a moderator at [Blenderartists.org](http://Blenderartists.org), where we have a user who is concerned that images that hes posted on our site still appear in google images if you search his name, even if we delete the thread.
Is there a way to completely delete an image, unrecoverable even to staff? Or somehow remove it from the google search index?

If the post is deleted the images should get moved to tombstone, but if you want it to happen immediately, In [this post](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-delete-a-part-of-an-archived-forum-odt-file/111466/2) I say how to do it. You can’t do it from Discourse. You’ll need to get Bart to do it from the command line.
