# Composer Footnote Button

Hello 👋

This theme component is to be used with [Discourse Footnote](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-footnote/84533) plugin and it’s add an `Insert Footnote` button to composer.

There are a few settings:

By default:

- it uses superscript icon what you can change with `composer footnote button icon` setting.

- it shows on popup options menu in composer uncheck the `put in popup menu` setting to show it on toolbar section.

If you uncheck the `put in popup menu` setting than you can select from 3 groups to where you want to place this button on toolbar.

Default: insertions

Clicking on the footnote button will insert the code. This text you can change with `composer footnote button text` translation.
