# Configuratie van een categorie zonder antwoordfunctie

Hello,
I operate a Discourse forum and would like to set up a special “Buy & Sell” category with the following functionality:
- Users can create new topics (with tags “Buying” or “Selling”)
- Users should NOT be able to publicly reply to these topics
- Instead, interested parties should communicate exclusively via private message with the creator
I’ve encountered a specific issue: When I allow topic creation permissions in a category, the reply permission seems to be automatically granted as well. I cannot find a way to separate these two permissions.
Is there a built-in way to allow users to create topics in a category while preventing them from replying to any topics in that same category? Perhaps there’s a setting I’m overlooking, or a plugin that enables this functionality?
Any guidance on how to implement this specific configuration would be greatly appreciated.
