We would need a bunch…Just off the top of my head:
Enhanced Metrics/Statistics including automated emailing of reports.
Blogging functionality (I know there’s a Wordpress integration but we
are looking for something built-in to the forum - don’t ask me
why…not my call to make)
A custom-board type for an “Idea Exchange” with custom board fields
for things like Idea status, that automatically email developers when
customers suggest ideas.
It’s mostly pretty basic stuff like that, but there’s a lot of them… We are considering moving away from a Lithium forum if we can do so without losing any major functionality - Discourse has 85% of it’s features (and a whole heck of a lot of new ones that I personally REALLY like) and if we can get at least 10% more of them in without it costing too much, I think I can convince our management to make the switch. Our company is quite large (Fortune 500) so I’m pretty sure it would be a benefit to Discourse as well.
