# Could the s3 cdn url address be the same as DISCOURSE\_CDN\_URL

I’m not sure if I should set the same address in setting up for the pictures or create a new one ?

for example [cdn.example.com](http://cdn.example.com) in app.yml and also [cdn.example.com](http://cdn.example.com) as s3 cdn adress in settings ?

They are different. One gets data from your S3 bucket. One gets data from you discourse server.

but I’m still not sure. Am I supposed to create a new distribution for S3 bucket in this way ?
