# Creating a New Topic from the composer bypasses disallowed tags

Creating a topic from a tag page (e.g. [Topics tagged done](https://meta.discourse.org/tag/done/1051) ) puts the tag into the composer, despite the fact it’s disallowed:

The server-side will still barf on submit, however.
