# CSS: how to make the line (border) between messages bigger?

The working solution is:

`.topic-body, div.topic-avatar { border-top-width: 5px; border-top-color: black; }`

For some reason it doesn’t work with only `.topic-avatar` (i.e. without `div`). (Maybe a browser-based bug/feature?)
