# Pas het e-mailtype "mailing\_list" aan

Hi,
Our users have requested that the email prefix was removed from the subject line of certain types of emails. Although I have found most of them in email templates, the type mailing\_list still has the prefix in there and it doesn’t appear to be in the list of templates.
Does anyone know of a way to modify the subject line of this email type?

Hi,
I’ve found it is possible to edit the subject line for generic emails such as this one like so:

I’ve changed the email subject to:
%{optional\_cat}%{topic\_title}
This results in a peculiar subject title:
[[Category] ] Topic
I think the extra square brackets are for the subcategory but we don’t use them. Does anyone know how to set up a subject title without these extra square brackets?
