# Customize text in Discourse

Adding links are not working for me in `js.topics.none.education.new`. Neither markdown nor html works. They both just display the code instead of converting to a link.

Are there some strings that allow links and some that don’t? Any way that this one could?

The use case is instead of saying “check back soon!” I want to say “Go do the think that our forum is all about!” and link to that.

Obviously this is a low stakes thing, but if there is a way to easily do it, I’d like to.
