Is it at all possible to add or extend existing prompts to discobot?

Although you can’t (yet) build your own interactive narratives, every single bit of text in the narrative can also be customized from Admin, Customize, Text:

This was in 2017. It has been 8 years, any support (be official or custom)?

If there’s no support, has anyone shared workarounds that may be helpful?

Eerlijk gezegd is het niet zozeer dat ik/wij Discobot moeten gebruiken. Het is gewoon "makkelijker" omdat het een bestaande bot op het forum is.

Maar ik zal een aangewezen nieuwe gebruiker maken om een bot te zijn, wat mij betreft…

You can reuse existing variables in messages (like %{title}), but you cannot add new ones.

So does this mean we can only use %{title} and %{base_url} and that’s it when customising a message? I’m working on personalising my messages and I’d like to be able to address the person by name for example, or display the contents of one of the custom user fields they filled in on sign-up.

Is there a way to do this? Or am I trying to twist Discobot into something it’s not and there is a way to automate a more personalised welcome message to new users where I can display that information?
