# Dark/light mode toggle now available in core

if you are not seeing the light/dark toggle at the bottom of the sidebar, it likely means you do not have 2 color palettes selected in [your preferences](https://meta.discourse.org/my/preferences/interface) - you should have both a light and dark palette selected. if you use a “same as regular” or just one palette, you won’t get the setting.
