# Default avatar for anonymised users

Hi guys. Recently I had to anonymize an user and I noticed a couple of things:

1. the previous user had a custom avatar uploaded, so the radio remained selected (but there was no image)

- gravatar is still an option (although there is no email set):

I’d like to have an option to set a default avatar for this users, either by adding an option, or by having a default gravatar email (although i’m not sure this is possible)

It is a good idea but does this come up often enough to warrant the dev time? How often are you anonymizing users?

(Though not clearing the avatar state for users with a custom avatar might be a bug cc @neil)

Can you explain what specifically you mean (i.e., what you did) when you say that you “anonymized a user”?
