@martin I spoke too soon. While I can now enable the toggle without any error, it doesnât actually turn on. The rewind page says it doesnât exist and when I go back to check the rewind toggle itâs disabled again. If I enable the toggle and refresh the page, it shows that itâs disabled.
I did click the Check for Updates button a few times too.
On my personal site, I noticed that it didnât show up immediately either when I enabled it, even after refreshing. It was only when I came back 30 minutes later to check and refreshed that it showed up.
Iâm facing the same above reported issue. Toggling work but then it disappear and nothing happens. Returning 200 once I toggle (it returned 403 yesterday) when checking through the network tab in dev tools. Is it just me or is there a fix incoming?
This is very strange indeed, I am trying to figure out the issue now, even if I try and directly do it in your hosted site console I have no luck. Will let you know what I uncover.
@msohm okay the issue has been fixed now and Rewind is enabled for your site There was a hosting misconfiguration on our end that prevented it from being enabled for certain sites.
Little bit of extra newsâŚRewind is now shared publicly by default, so you can see other usersâ Rewinds EDIT: we reverted back to private by default
Also, users with âHide my public profileâ enabled will not be able to share their Rewind, and it will not be visible by default. We made some fixes too so excerpts for âTop Postsâ and âTop Topicsâ never come from personal messages for further privacy.
Admins can see everyoneâs Rewinds regardless of this toggle.
Currently, the plugin calculates the most frequently used words in a userâs posts (word usage) only supports English.
For communities that primarily use other languages, such as Persian (Farsi), this feature does not provide meaningful results.
Request:
Please consider extending the word frequency functionality to support nonâEnglish languages.
For Persian, a comprehensive list of stop words is already available and can be provided to facilitate implementation.
Yes this was simply a tradeoff we had to make to get these features out on time, since Rewind has been more of a side project. Perhaps in future years we will be able to make it truly multilingual
