# Delete Administrator

Hi, I see that Discourse itself in the user profile page warns me that it is not possible to delete an administrator account, but I am wondering how do do it anyway?

I created what was intended to be a temporary account with administrator privileges for the benefit of a developer, and no longer need it.

What options do I have?

How otherwise should I have granted temporary administrator access?

First, you can just revoke their admin privs in their profile settings:

After that you can change the trust level or suspend the user, etc.

Consider to increase `delete all posts max` as well. The value must cover all posts of this user.
