I just became very confused, because I inadvertently deleted a topic by pressing d without the editor focussed. I would suggest that destructive or dangerous actions should always include an “are you sure?” prompt, even (especially?) when triggered using a keyboard shortcut. This would mean that deleting a topic would then be denter. ---

I follow but you were using `j` / `k` to navigate no? The combo `j` `d` does delete with no prompt. But d by itself should not. ---

It’s very possible – at the time, I was reading from a different screen, so I didn’t realise the editor wasn’t focussed. I may well have typed j…d or k…d as a result. 🙂
