# Difference between a moderator and a staff member

Hi Guys,
Just cleaning up my user groups and permissions and i noticed that i have two groups set up, moderators and staff, both groups have the same people in them, what is the difference between the two?

The “staff” group includes moderators and administrators. The “moderators” group includes only moderators. If all of your moderators are also administrators then the group membership will be the same.
