# Digital Ocean minimum server size increase?

We used to be able to get by with the $10/month option but this option does not seem to be available anymore with one-click setup?

The DO recipe has always required 2GB because swap is politically incorrect on shared hosting.

The actual minimum ram required for Discourse is 1GB plus swap. Which is mostly used during upgrades, not really during normal operation of the site.

Maybe I’m not remembering correctly… I set up two other Discourse sites (one manually setup and the other one-click) before though. Not a big deal. I guess I have to manually install it but we have great guides to save the day 🙂
