# DigitalOcean Droplet stops working

Hello,  
I’m new to DigitalOcean and need some help.

I have a droplet that works fine initially, but whenever I power it off and then turn it back on, the site or service hosted on the droplet stops working.

I’m not sure what I’m missing or how to properly restart it. Can someone please guide me on what steps I should take after restarting the droplet to make it work again?

SSH into your instance and check the logs.

Or maybe rebuild the app after entering the VM?  
I assume, you don’t shut the droplet down after you’re done: that would keep turning off the forum.

go to cd /var/discourse

type ./launcher start app

If you are not familiar with this command, please check the documentation.
