# Disable topic edit notifications

I think the dilemma remains that some sites will need to notfiy, and some will not. Even fixing a typo could be noticed later and the author of the post will be concerned about their words being changed.

It occurs to me that the quick edit popup could get an “edit reason” input like in the composer. That would be nice! There is room for it to the right of the buttons. And there could be an admin setting to _require_ a reason be provided when editing. Not all sites will want it but some likely would appreciate it.
