# Disabling history for public on wiki posts

We have a lot of wiki posts that are collaboratively maintained by staff, but we would like regular users to not be able to see the history of these posts.

I tried disabling the `edit history visible to public` setting, but it doesn’t seem to be having an effect. Does that not apply to wiki posts?

What issue are you trying to solve here - what’s the harm in letting users see Wiki history?

As a staff member, you can hide the history of the wiki post by using this button:
