# Disabling "Summarize This Topic" button broken?

How can I remove the “Summarize This Topic” button? I’ve set the thresholds high but it still shows the button for some topics. In other topics it is removed. I don’t see why it affects only certain topics.

It’s kind of a big deal for us because we’re about to deploy our own custom summary button, and two buttons will be confusing.

Does it work if you use high values that aren’t so ridiculously high?

No- I’ve tried say 127 or 255, no difference.

And conversely, those topics with no button cannot be made to have a button by setting the threshold very low, say to 1. It’s as if the thresholds have no effect for me.

I’m up-to-date, btw.

Out of curiosity, did you ever get to the bottom of this?

I just checked the settings as they are today and noticed they’ve got updated language compared to your screenshot:

> Changes to this setting will be applied retroactively within a week.

Was it a delayed `/sidekiq` job thing?
