# Discourse as Android Application

I think the best course of action isn’t an entire app. A [Pushbullet](https://www.pushbullet.com/) plugin would be great for this. [NodeBB has one as an official core plugin.](https://github.com/NodeBB/nodebb-plugin-pushbullet)

EDIT: even more incentive here is that Pushbullet can be run under nearly any OS, so that means anyone can get popup notifs. Maybe go a step further and have a setting where it _doesn’t_ send notifs if the browser tab is focused.
