@RGJ , thank you for the quick response.  
I’ve just created an [PR](https://github.com/discourse/discourse-authentication-validations/pull/50) to the original repo with an fix that should solve the issue.

The main challenge here was is the fact that you have two places where the validation runs, which is Frontend and Backend, so I had to implement solution for each separately and to make sure they work as expected.
