I meant if we can have the same blog template I shared in the picture. It’s is clean and minimalist. Article → Call to action (newsletters) → Discourse comments.

Yeah looks good too. Thanks. I see that it is possible to do many things with Discourse. Is it difficult to change a plugin? Is it hard to create a new one? Do you think my development team (react native, node) can do it?

- There are a lot of official and unofficial [plugins](https://meta.discourse.org/c/plugin/22) and [components](https://meta.discourse.org/c/theme-component/120/) you can use.
I tend to rely on official ones, or developed by involved and trustful people/companies like [Pavilion](https://meta.discourse.org/search?q=pavilion) in order to avoid as much as possible any potential issues or discontinued software in the future.
As for what are the differences between a plugin and a component, see [Theme-Component v Plugin: What's the difference - #2 by EricGT](https://meta.discourse.org/t/theme-component-v-plugin-whats-the-difference/153951/2)
- Adding or removing a plugin is just a line of code to add or remove in a configuration field, and then rebuild the application (which takes usually a few minutes): [Install plugins on a self-hosted site](https://meta.discourse.org/t/install-plugins-in-discourse/19157)
- There are many guides and #how-to about how to develop plugins and components, but I guess the best answer would be “ask your dev team to have a look at some of the most popular ones” as they are mostly open source :). That blog uses [https://ghost.org/](https://ghost.org/) with a custom theme made by our team for our corporate blog. It does use Discourse comments via [Embed Discourse comments on another website via Javascript](https://meta.discourse.org/t/embed-discourse-comments-on-another-website-via-javascript/31963).

I’m building a (very) simple blog at the moment, similar to the discourse blog.
The blog will be based on [hugo](https://gohugo.io) and design styled with Tailwind CSS. The connection between the blog and discourse will be the way Falco mentioned.

You’ll find the repo at [GitHub - courservio/blog · GitHub](https://github.com/courservio/blog) and a live demo at [https://blog.courservio.de](https://blog.courservio.de) (text is only in german at the moment, sry.)
As I said it’s a really simple design and things like the menu and the footer are hardcoded in the layout (quick & dirty), but you should get a feeling. Maybe it helps.
