# I set up Discourse, activated my account email, why am I still constantly receiving account activation emails every so often? How to configure to solve this bug

Is this a self-hosted site?

Are these emails sent to the same address that you successfully registered?

Did you request an activation email a bunch of times before you got your mail configured (if so, then it’s a good bet that all of those emails will eventually be sent).
