# Discourse for non-tech communities?

Hi I was wondering if anyone is using discourse for a non-tech audience? most of discourse case uses I’ve seen were tech related and the ones i have seen were most in the form of support and problem solving. i was also wondering how can i test the chat feautre on discourse?

I’m using discourse for non-tech, specifically a community for our members in the diving industry. Tho we don’t use the chat feature yet! 🙂

Yes about mental health 😃 at beginning the next month is his birthday 1 year.

DM is enabled to trust level 2 with three categories called ‘Ask Me’ ‘News’ and main category ‘Confessions & Tales’ for users to express themselves safe and sound.
