# 在 Linode 上托管 Discourse？

我认为在这种情况下，将自托管与自托管进行比较更有意义，因为将自托管与托管服务进行比较可能会有些误导，如果您只关注价格，因为它没有计入您自己学习和解决问题所花费的时间和精力等成本。显然，对某些人来说，这是乐趣的主要组成部分，所以感觉不到成本。🙂

但是，如果您不介意成为系统管理员，并且想要一个可以正常工作的系统（并且有一个 handy 和 knowledgeable 的人可以在出现问题时给他们发邮件），那么托管服务可能更值得花额外的钱。

对于我的自托管实例，我属于标准的安装 DO 阵营。我一开始一无所知，并设法遵循了该指南（以及 Meta 上的一些建议🙂），并且在此过程中学到了不少东西。到目前为止，我发现这一切都非常有趣，我认为通过这种方式，我早期接触了很多有用的信息（正如 @merefield 在上面所说），我认为这很有帮助。
