# Discourse-ID displays it's own logo & name instead of my forum's

I feel the 2nd ‘Discourse’ should be replaced with my forum name, in this case ‘FAKTout’, as users would be trying to log into my forum not Discourse. Though the underlying URL is correctly pointed to my forum.

That’s how it usually works. I wonder if it takes a while for Discourse-ID to update the name.

I created a selfhosted Discourse forum. On the login screen it reads “Use your Discourse ID account to log **into Discourse** ” It should be log **‘into FAKTout’** (my forum name). However, they underlying URL correctly points to my forum. Can someone fix it?

I see a difference between the feature request to make the forum stand out more and the issue where “Discourse” is displayed instead of the forum title.
The example in the feature request shows the forum’s name “CAN Discourse”

Showing the correct name seems to work for other forums but not for this one. So I am not sure this is “how the current setup works”

Ah maybe I read it too hasty, thanks. I see the same thing on other forums though, hence I thought it was the regular way. Let me investigate more

Same, it could be that the meta data has been pushed before the title was changed. Can you update the title to something else, save, and change it back to what you want? It could be that resaving the setting will trigger a resync.

It didn’t help. I changed Admin → All Site Settings → title.
Does it pick the site name from this field?

Ah ok try this, it worked for mine:
1. SSH in and get to the Rails console:
```plaintext
cd /var/discourse
./launcher enter app
rails c
```
1. Clear the two hidden credentials:
```plaintext
SiteSetting.discourse_id_client_id = ""
SiteSetting.discourse_id_client_secret = ""
exit
```
1. In **Admin → Settings → Login** , toggle **Enable Discourse ID** **off** , then **on**.

Since you said it worked, I expected that. But it doesn’t answer my question about the process for forums hosted by Discourse. Needing their support whenever you update the name or logo doesn’t feel like a solution.

On our hosted sites, this re-registration is handled automatically I believe, if I read this correctly: (big if)

It is a workaround, and we also have this button on “/admin/config/login-and-authentication/discourse-id” to do the same:
I’m on the team that works on Discourse ID, so I’ll confirm how it works and check if we can make it clearer.

In my own test, that button was disabled though.
