Discourse-ID displays it's own logo & name instead of my forum's

After pressing that button how long does it take for the new site name to show on discourse id?

I also wonder how many admins will not remember to use that button becuase they change the name or logo of the forum.

Are you sure you want to regenerate your Discourse ID credentials? This will generate a new client secret. Regenerating credentials isn’t normally required but can be useful for enhanced security.

Doesn’t read like it’s about updating the name.

Actually as per these PRs (1 and 2), we automatically update the ID identity provider whenever a change is made to any of these site settings:

  • title
  • description
  • logo url
  • small logo url

I will do a test to check how this is working on self-hosted sites.

Yes it’s not the primary goal, but it should still trigger a refresh of the metadata in the process.

I have used it twice (once when you posted this and a second time a few minutes ago) and Discourse ID still shows the old name

I still wasn’t able to use that regenerate button to update the name of my forum shown on Discourse ID.

Did you skip the commands posted there?

I cannot use them. The forum is hosted by Discourse, so I don’t have console access.
That’s why I was trying the steps from Discourse-ID displays it's own logo & name instead of my forum's - #20 by rishabh, but so far that didn’t work.
