# Discourse Install on amazon Lightsail Possible?

There is no real reason for it not to work. You can safely proceed with a sufficiently powerful VPS and following the [official install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/142537?silent=true) guide

It works just fine. There are a number of topics about this issue, like [Recommended Hosting Providers for Self Hosters](https://meta.discourse.org/t/recommended-hosting-providers-for-self-hosters/79562).
If you’d like me to do the install, if you’ll give me aws key and secret key, I’ll waive the extra fee I usually charge for non digital ocean installs. My new management system will create the lightsail server.
