# Discourse Ram usage?

I was using Digital Ocean 2GB RAM 1 CPU Droplet. Discourse’s ram usage was 95%. I switched to the 4gb ram 2 cpu plan of OVH VPS, the ram usage is 93%. I don’t understand how this happens even though I upgraded my ram? There is no slowness in my site, but this percentage confused me.

Are you sure Discourse is actively using all of that? Or perhaps is it just that [Linux ate your ram](https://linuxatemyram.com)?
